(Little Rock, Arkansas) – Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk Pat O’Brien announced today that his campaign for Secretary of State received contributions of $50,207.50 from 366 contributors in the third quarter of 2009 for a cumulative $173,058.54 raised. For the second consecutive quarter he raised more than any previous candidate in a primary election for Arkansas Secretary of State.

O'Brien started accepting contributions in April and surpassed $100,000 prior to announcing. O'Brien is a Democrat and will be seeking the party's nomination in a primary to be held in May, 2010.
