Pat O'Brien Questions Opponents Use of Taxpayer Funds

Rep. Martin should come clean and answer all questions

 

(Little Rock, Arkansas) – Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk and Secretary of State nominee, Pat O’Brien of Jacksonville, today charged that his opponent, Rep. Mark Martin, is utilizing his taxpayer subsidized business and home office as his campaign office thereby abusing the public trust and violating state law.  O’Brien is demanding that Rep. Martin start answering questions of whether he crossed the line and illegally used taxpayer money for his campaign.

 

Pat O'Brien Releases Travel Reimbursements Records

(Little Rock, Arkansas) – Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk and Secretary of State nominee, Pat O’Brien of Jacksonville, today released a summary of his travel reimbursement records for his entire tenure in office starting in January, 2005.  During the last six years, O’Brien was been reimbursed for $4,805.67 in travel related expenses.  O’Brien challenged his opponent, Mark Martin, to make a similar disclosure.

(Little Rock, Arkansas) – Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk and Secretary of State nominee, Pat O’Brien, announced today his plan to restrict state vehicle usage in the Secretary of State’s office.  The plan includes clearly marking all state vehicles, elimination of personal commuting and a pledge to not have a state vehicle or charge taxpayers mileage reimbursements.

For the second consecutive quarter he raised more than any previous candidate in a primary election for Arkansas Secretary of State.

That amount is the most contributions ever raised during one reporting period for the Office of Secretary of State in Arkansas.

(Little Rock, Arkansas) – Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk and Secretary of State nominee, Pat O’Brien of Jacksonville, announced today his campaign for Secretary of State received contributions of $86,840.00 in the month of August.  That sets a new single month record in the Secretary of State’s race.  O’Brien also held the previous monthly record of $68,000.00.

(Little Rock, Arkansas) - Pulaski Circuit/County Clerk Pat O'Brien announced today that he is a candidate for Arkansas Secretary of State in 2010. O'Brien started accepting contributions in April and surpassed $100,000 prior to announcing. O'Brien is a Democrat and will be seeking the party's nomination in a primary to be held in May, 2010.
