Just before the end of March, the O’Brien campaign officially raised more in contributions than any other candidate for Secretary of State in Arkansas history. In 2006, Charlie Daniels raised a total of $291,650 through the General Election. As of the end of March, we have raised $301,992! We are very proud of this accomplishment, but all of the thanks go to the thousands of Arkansans who have contributed to this campaign. Copies of our campaign finance reports can be seen here.
Now that we have made history, we need to translate that into a victory on May 18th! Because of the other big races in Arkansas this year, it will be more difficult and more expensive to get our message out to voters. This race is far from over. We have two serious opponents who are working hard to win, and if we let up for a minute, they just might.
There are a couple of things you can still do to help. First, please remember to vote in the Democratic Primary on May 18th. Second, consider joining our team as a volunteer. You can also help us by sharing this good news with your friends and encouraging them to visit our website (www.PatOBrienforArkansas.com) to learn more and make a contribution.
Thanks to all of you who support this campaign with your time and resources. Through your efforts we can win this election!
