ARKANSAS SECRETARY OF STATE (DEMOCRAT): Had he won just a few thousand more votes Tuesday, Pulaski County circuit/county Clerk Pat O’Brien would have secured the Democratic nomination for secretary of state. Now he’s in a runoff with state Land Commissioner Mark Wilcox. O’Brien has great experience that includes fixing the Pulaski clerk’s office, which was an embarrassment before he took it over in 2005. O’Brien is extremely professional and committed to making the secretary of state’s office the best it can be. We endorse O’Brien.
